September 7 was the date of the world premiere at the 43rd Toronto Festival of the great Teen Spirit. The film starring Elle Fanning drew much attention among the select audience.
The film marks the debut as director of the actor Max Minghella, who developed the script with his colleague Jamie Bell, who serves as executive producer.
For the Deadline website: "Fanning is simply a revelation in this role, singing on her own and taking out a voice that could easily change the trajectory of her own career," they predicted.
