The unmistakable style of José Padilha

The Brazilian director leaves his mark in the cinematographic world

José Padilha is certainly one of the great filmmakers of recent years. His narrative has undoubtedly surprised the critics and the public.

Elite Squad (2007) was the first fiction film for this director who previously had a long career dedicated to the production of documentaries. The film was a success all over the world and he was awarded a Golden Bear in Berlin.

Then came Elite Squad 2 (2010) and the arrival to the great studios with the remake of Robocop (2014). In 2015 he would be placed again behind the cameras to direct the series Narcos, of great repercussion in all Latin America.

The new film by José Padilha: 7 Days in Entebbe

During the summer of 1976 an Air France plane traveling from Tel Aviv to Paris is kidnapped in the air and forced to divert to Entebbe Airport, Uganda.

Jewish passengers were separated and taken hostage to free many Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons. The negotiations of the Israeli government with the kidnappers were arduous and after much debate, Israel decides to send a team of elite to carry out an impossible rescue.
