Molly’s game: cards on the table

Chastain and Sorking, an invincible duo

Jessica Chastain puts herself in the shoes of the queen of clandestine poker, mythical Molly Bloom. A woman who went from almost competing in the Olympic Games to being the boss of the most exclusive clandestine bets.

The directorial debut of acclaimed screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is behind the film. Previously sheltered in texts, the writer of Social Network left his pleasant comfort zone. And that decision was a success.

A work of pure talent

The expert in the creation of powerful dialogues puts in front of the spectator "a precise, agile, brilliant staging", says Raquel Hernández Luján, from Hobby Consolas, and adds: "it takes us to delve into the life of a peculiar woman".

"Molly's Game is the best of Sorkin (...) it is a tremendously entertaining film," says Bryan Bishop, in The Verge.

On the other hand, Eulalia Iglesias, from El Confidencial, highlights: "Molly's Game is a film at the service of a powerful and complex female character (...) without the need to appeal to romanticism".

The critics have already chosen it. Now, Molly’s game awaits the audience’s verdict.
