Tiger’s Nest tells the story of Balmani, a twelve-year-old boy who survived the earthquake that devastated Kathmandu in 2015. Now an orphan, he decides to escape from the orphanage and then meets a Bengal tiger cub, Mukti, who also has no mother. Together they face several obstacles and dangers and strive to escape from poachers in the hope of finding a new home and, more importantly, a new family.
The lead actor is Sunny Pawar, the young Indian boy who became famous for his role in the Oscar-nominated film Lion. The producers thought he was the ideal performer for the role of Balmani, the protagonist of this story. Tiger’s Nest is directed by Brando Quilici, who has filmed countless documentaries for National Geographic and Discovery Channel. His experience in directing this type of film is clear in every shot and every scene of the story.
One of the main themes of the film is the conservation of wildlife and endangered species, and it conveys an important message for viewers about the extreme situation that our planet is experiencing in relation to the environment. A wake-up call about the sad reality that must be brought to light and fought for. It is also a wonderful story that shows us a wild and dangerous world where the power of feelings and compassion always wins.
Tiger’s Nest will hit the big screen in 2023 in Latin America.
