Alan Kim in Minari

It's worth remembering him!

An image that has engraved in our hearts was young actor Alan Kim giving a speech when he won Best Actor at the Critics’ Choice Awards for his performance in Minari.

Sitting in his living room, in a striped armchair with a white cushion behind him, the little boy was flawless in a tuxedo with a white shirt and black bow tie. When he heard his name called, he was moved to tears and the audience followed him. "First of all, I’d like to thank the critics who voted and my family...Oh my goodness, I'm crying!" he said, and amidst his joy and emotion he exclaimed, "I wish I could work on other films. Is this a dream? I hope it's not."

Kim played David Yi, the son of Jacob (Steven Yeun) and Monica (Yeri Han), in a Korean family that moves to Arkansas in search of a better life and the well-known "American dream". This family thrilled the audiences, won Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes and was nominated for six Academy Awards, with Yuh-Jung Youn taking home the statuette for Best Supporting Actress.

We love him so much!
