Yesterday was a night full of excitement, joy and expectation. Many actors, actresses and casts enjoyed taking home the statuette of the 2021 Golden Globe Awards. Here is a review of the highlights.
The most touching moment was when Renee Zellweger announced Chadwick Boseman (21 Bridges) as best actor in a motion picture-drama. His wife tearfully accepted his award and delivered an emotional speech where he thanked his family, his ancestors for their guidance and sacrifice, just as he would have done.
Jodie Foster (Hotel Artemis), who received the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, surprised the audience wearing pajamas and sitting on the couch with her dog and wife.
But more importantly, Diamond Films won two major awards: Minari was awarded Best Foreign Language Picure and Andra Day won the category Best Actress in a motion picture-drama for her performance as the famous jazz singer in The United States vs. Billie Holiday.
