Minari: Sundance's favorite

Is this the winner for best film?

At this year's Sundance Film Festival, which took place from January 23 to February 2, many brilliant feature films were presented - as every year. But there was one film in particular that gave plenty to talk about: Minari. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the film is based on the director's childhood and is about a Korean family moving - in pursuit of a better quality of life and the "American dream" - to a small farm in Arkansas, the United States. But of course not everything is rosy and they will have to face the adversities of life in the countryside, the family arguments, and they will have to accept the help of the grandmother, who will arrive to take care of her grandchildren. A family story so exciting and moving that it won the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize.

Jacob is the family’s father and is played by Steve Yeun (The Walking Dead), an actor who has been praised by critics and is rumored to be a possible nominee for best actor for his performance.

The release in Latin America is not yet confirmed, but it will surely be one of the big bets for the race to the 2021 Oscars. We will soon find out what the future holds for it.
