We are talking about War With Grandpa directed by Tim Hill and based on the namesake novel by writer Robert Kimmel.
An unexpected war under the same roof
Comedy fans can't miss De Niro in the shoes of a grandfather who, as a widower, moves into his daughter's house, starring Uma Thurman, and unleashes a hilarious, unexpected war with one of his grandchildren.
Although initially welcomed by the entire family, Peter- played by Oakes Fegley- feels severely affected when he is forced to give up his room to the newcomer.
Far from giving up, Peter sets in motion a series of traps to reverse the situation, although his grandfather will know how to deal with it. He will also have the close help of his friends, played by outstanding Christopher Walken and Cheech Marin.
With a cast completed by Laura Marano and Rob Riggle, the film once again demonstrates the power of De Niro who alongside Fegley offers one of the most endearing duels on the big screen.
