Chadwick Boseman: "This is the kind of movies I want to make"

The actor and his enthusiasm for the release of 21 Bridges

Being part of successful franchises in the Marvel universe is not a simple task for actors, they have to learn to find a balance between adventure films based on comics and other types of roles that give the actor a healthy balance. That is exactly what Chadwick Boseman achieved.

That's why after Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame, Boseman got into a high-impact police story: 21 Bridges.

The film directed by Brian Kirk is produced by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo (who had worked with Boseman in Avengers: Endgame). The plot of 21 Bridges is surprising: a detective decides to shut down all the bridges and accesses of Manhattan for one night to find the criminals who killed several policemen.

21 Bridges. A story that reminds us of great actors

“To be honest, when I agreed to start acting, the last thing I thought of doing was a superhero movie. You see yourself doing what the actors you love do. The actors I love made these films (like 21 Bridges),” Boseman says when asked about his need to participate in small and medium-budget movies.

And he adds enthusiastically, “I am talking about Denzel Washington, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones. It's like saying, "This is the kind of movie I want to make." If you only make superhero movies, which I love, I love the movies we make, but if you don't make the movies you plan to do, I don't think you would be satisfied as an artist.

Let’ wait for the release of 21 Bridges!
