Starring Elle Fanning, Teen Spirit tells the story of Violet, a teenage singer who lives with her Polish mother on the verge of poverty, and whose life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes famous in a singing contest.
A key character in Violet's odyssey to become a star is her strange mentor, a disgraced opera singer played by Zlatko Buric.

When asked about his work with his frequent scene partner, Buric answered: "Elle is a great actress, she even learned Polish for the role!, which extremely surprised me as well as how mature she is". And he stressed: "I'm a great fan of her."
Buric’s character is the new manager of the ascendant Violet at times when she needs more than ever the confidence to assume her own power. On building the character under the direction of a new director, Buric said: "Max was always prepared and helped us from the perspective of an actor, not just the director."
Therefore, Buric did not hesitate to leave himself in the hands of Minghella, who sits for the first time in the director's chair and the result is an elegant first opera cataloged as a modern and fresh fairytale.
