Green Book keeps triumph in the season awards

It received four nominations for the Bafta awards and will compete as best picture

After winning big at the Golden Globes, Green Book keeps on triumphing.

This time it does so in one of the most demanding cinematographic meccas: the awards given by the British industry: the Bafta awards.

Regarding the gala to be held on February 10 in London, the film directed by Peter Farrelly returns to position as a success among the critics when receiving the nominations for best picture and best original screenplay.

Meanwhile, two other nominations fall into the hands of the leading duo of the film. With two of the most acclaimed performances of this season awards, Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali will compete in the categories as best leading actor and best supporting actor, respectively.

The value of friendship

Having become one of the great aspirants for the Oscars, Green Book portrays the true relationship between the Italian- American and somehow violent Tony Lip (Mortensen) and the brilliant musician Don Shirley (Ali), who suffers for being "too black for whites and too white for blacks. "

A warm, reflective story with a lot of sense of humor in the midst of the marked racism of the sixties.
