MID90S, Jonah Hill's debut feature film

It is in the "top 10" of independent films of the year according to the critics

Mid90s, the debut feature film by American actor and comedian Jonah Hill is listed as one of the best independent films.

Along with another Diamond actor, talented Lucas Hedges, and the key presence of Katherine Waterson in the cast, the protagonist falls into the hands of young actor and skateboarder Sunny Suljic.

 A story that seeks authenticity

The first feature film by the actor from The Wolf of Wall Street tells Stevie’s story (apparently Hill's alter ego), a teenager who begins to live his first experiences in Los Angeles, in the 90s.

With an indifferent mother on his back and bothered and mocked by his brother, Stevie tries to escape from his dysfunctional home with the new group of friends he met at a skateboarding shop.

After a triumphant moment at the Toronto Festival, the film was recently awarded by the National Board of Review as one of the 10 independent films of the year.

Thus, the irreverent Hollywood comedian and two-time Oscar nominee now jumps into direction and surprises everyone with a genuine, profound and melancholic film.
