Bill Barretta: the one responsible for the magic

A review on the career of the puppeteer of The Happytime Murders

There are few things that require as much skill as giving life to inanimate dolls. Their gestures, movements, looks and coordination with speech usually generate fascination among adults and children. And this art takes years of improvement. It is not a job for anyone and Bill Barretta knows that since his great experience allows him to achieve incredible results.

Barretta is responsible for the Muppets since 1991 and he is the right hand of the director and creator of characters in the series, Jim Henson. Pepe the King Prawn, Johnny Fiama, Big Mean Carl and Bobo the Bear are some of the characters he developed.

He was also the puppeteer in charge of giving life to Earl Sinclair in Dinosaurs, the Disney series from 1991 to 1994. Bill Barretta has devoted his whole life to the world of puppets and in The Happytime Murders he will have the challenge of carrying out the protagonist of the story, former policeman Phil Phillips.

The Happytime Murders. Exclusive humor for adults

The city is disrupted, a series of puppet murders has the population on permanent alert, former policeman Phil Phillips and Detective Connie Edwards (Melissa McCarthy) will have to solve the case.
