On International Women's Day, we commemorate women's struggle for their social participation and rights. To celebrate this date, we take a look back at the careers of several actresses who have demonstrated their incredible talent in acting:
Julianne Moore: she is one of the few actresses who has won the four most important awards in the film industry: the Oscar, the Golden Globe, the BAFTA Award, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for different roles throughout her career. Rooney Mara: sister of actress Kate Mara, she began her acting career in television and independent films. She achieved great recognition with a supporting role in the biographical drama The Social Network (2010) and for her leading role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011). Keira Knightley: the British actress is known in Hollywood for being part of independent films, blockbusters, and, her great specialty, period dramas, including Pride and Prejudice (2005) and Anna Karenina (2012).
