Zac Efron: a journey through his career

Let's get to know a little more about this incredible performer

Zac Efron is an actor and teen idol who has shown his interest in acting from a very young age. He was only eleven years old when he appeared in several plays and started singing lessons.

His professional career as an actor began in 2002 with a small participation in the series Fire Fly. Later, he was part of different television stories until he became a regular cast member of the series Summerland. He achieved fame with the premiere of the musical comedy, High School Musical, where he played Troy Bolton, a popular student and captain of the basketball team. After the trilogy, the actor starred in several blockbusters such as 17 Again, Me and Orson Welles, and Charlie St. Cloud.

One of his latest comedy films was Dirty Grandpa, a film that follows Jason Kelly, who is a week away from marrying his boss's daughter. However, the marriage will be at risk when puritanical Jason is tricked into taking his boorish grandfather, Dick, to Daytona for spring break. Between wild frat parties, bar fights, and an epic karaoke night, the two discover they can learn from each other and the bond they never had.

Another successful film of his is We are your Friends. Set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, an aspiring DJ named Cole spends his days with his childhood friends and his nights trying to make a hit that will play everywhere. A film with a more dramatic approach, compared to Zac Efron's other projects, and with a great message about ambition, love, and loyalty.
