Who is Ben Foster?

A brief look at the career of The Survivor’s protagonist

Ben Foster (The Survivor; 360) was born on October 29, 1980, in Boston, Massachusetts. The son of a restaurant owner, he dropped out of high school when he was 16 years old and moved to Los Angeles where he began his acting career.

In the nineties, Ben appeared in the series Flash Forward and he played small characters in films and television series during the following years. He achieved success in Hollywood with a recurring role in Six Feet Under and he was then part of the cast of several films that made him internationally known, such as The Punisher, Trespass, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Alpha Dog.

One of his latest films was The Survivor, a film that tells the story of a boxer named Haft who survived the Holocaust in the Auschwitz concentration camp by fighting against other prisoners. Haunted by the memories and guilt of those times, he tries to continue through high-level fights to reunite with his first love: Leah, his childhood sweetheart. Ben lost about 62 pounds to play Harry Haft, which he had to recover to complete the story that takes place after the war. He also had to train and get into boxing for this role.

Ben Foster is an actor dedicated to each of his roles who continues to participate in challenging projects that allow him to show his outstanding acting talent.
