If you are a fan of the Back to the Future movie or the Dark series...these recommendations are for you! If you enjoy different stories where the main characters travel to the past or the future or simply one of them cannot age or live forever, we recommend the following films:
- Looper: set in the near future, the film follows a group of contract killers called loopers who work for the criminal syndicates from the future. Their bosses send the "targets" back in time, and the looper's job is simply to shoot and dispose of the body. Joe is one of the best at this trade, he's getting rich and life is good for him until one day the syndicate decides to "close the loop". His future self is sent back in time to be killed and young Joe can't pull the trigger.
- The Age of Adeline: starring Blake Lively and Harrison Ford (Paranoia, Ender's Game), the film tells the story of Adeline, a twenty-nine-year-old woman who acquires the ability to be immortal and not age as the result of an accident. After a long solitary life throughout the twentieth century hiding her secret, she will finally meet a man for whom it may be worth revealing her truth.
- Midnight in Paris: Owen Wilson (No Escape) is Gil, a man who is in love with Paris and dreams of having a different life. One day, after midnight, he discovers the ability to travel back in time and shares exciting experiences with great art personalities such as Ernest Hemingway, Picasso, and Salvador Dalí. The film is a magical journey to Paris in the 1920s where the city is illuminated and embellished to relive the mythical meetings of the golden intellectuals.
