The Varilux French Film Festival is here!

It will be held from November 25 to December 8

The French Film Festival in Brazil starts on November 25 and will continue until December 8. This new edition, as its official website states, will aim to promote watching movies on the big screen. It is an initiative that seeks to highlight the sensory and emotional experience of watching a film in a movie theater compared to watching it on a streaming platform. The event offers a wide variety of films with the intention of helping movie theaters to regain their audience.

On this occasion, we would like to highlight Petite Maman, a film starring Gabrielle Sanz, Nina Meurisse and Joséphine Sanz. The film directed by Céline Sciamma, director of Tomboy and Portrait of a Lady on Fire, has won over critics and audiences at other festivals such as the Berlin and San Sebastian Film Festivals. The film tells the story of Nelly, who has just lost her grandmother and is helping her parents clean out her mother's childhood home. One day she meets a girl her own age and, with just a few words, they begin a great friendship. This is a touching film about time, family and memories.

The Varilux French Film Festival will undoubtedly succeed in reviving the desire to go to the movies and contributing to the revival of in-person cultural activities. A great industry event that will be memorable for everyone.

Our best wishes for this edition to be a success as well!
