New York Film Festival

It will be held from September 24 to October 10

The New York Film Festival kicked off last September 24 and will run through October 10. The 59th edition organized by Lincoln Center will continue, as its official website claims, supporting the art, elevating the craft of cinema and enriching film culture. There will be several sections where different feature films will be presented, as well as screenings for press, and conversations and Q&A's with directors, producers, actors and actresses.

This time we would like to highlight C'mon C'mon, a film directed by Mike Mills and starring Joaquin Phoenix. After winning an Oscar for best actor for his role in Joker, he returns to the big screen with a moving story that will make us reflect on life and how the younger generations perceive the world around us. Phoenix plays a radio journalist who must take care of his nephew (Woody Norman) because his father suffers from a mental illness and his mother (Gaby Hoffmann) must be with him during the process.

Together they will embark on a journey through the United States, which invites us to reflect on the reality around us and the world in which we live. It is definitely a story that will touch our hearts and some critics already say it could be a potential award winning film.

There are still no confirmed release dates in Latin America, but we expect more news in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned!
