The renowned Chilean director Pablo Larraín (Jackie) will give a lot to talk about with his upcoming film Spencer starring Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana. A few months ago, a first photo was released showing the actress’ incredible portrayal for this role and it left us completely speechless. The film takes place during the last days of the marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles, and the last Christmas holidays they shared before she decided to divorce him.
The first poster for the film was released today and she can be seen in a stunning white wedding dress, leaning over and apparently weeping as she looks devastated. On the US producers’ official networks, the image was posted with the caption: "Every fairy tale ends. Kristen Stewart is Diana Spencer. A glimpse at Pablo Larraín's film: Spencer." While the theatrical release date is confirmed for the US, we still have to wait a little longer to have a set date for Latin America.
This film is one of the most anticipated films of the year and many Hollywood critics already consider it a potential award winning film. We’ll definitely have more news in the coming months.
