Something revealing of Teen Spirit is discovering the great vocal capacity of its protagonist, Elle Fanning. The film by first time director- an actor too- Max Minghella bases its charming story on music.
And to do that, Fanning’s artistic attitudes showed to be up to the expectations of playing songs by Robyn, Ellie Goulding, Annie Lennox y Orbital, among others.
Fanning also sings an original song during the end credits called “Wildflowers”, written by Carly Rae Jepsen and produced by Jack Antonoff.
The actress describes how special it was to work with the producer winner of three Grammy awards: “he is a legend of music. He allowed me to discover a whole new world, since the acting world is very different from that of music, and in fact I have never approached the other side,” she said.
