When watching the first images of Teen Spirit nobody can doubt the music and its pop aesthetic dominate the whole film. An invitation to live the adventure of Violet Valenski (Elle Fanning) to become a world musical star.
But the protagonist will not do that alone, she will be accompanied by Vlad (Zlatko Burić), a former opera singer who fails to find the notes that once came naturally, but now prompts the 17-year-old to "sing with the heart".
Teen Spirit: Vlad, a key character in the story
The film is the debut of actor Max Minghella as director and when talking about the character of Burić he says: "Vlad's role was written for Zlatko from the first draft of the script. He was the only actor I wanted to play that role."
And he adds more details about Vlad's personality: "he gets alone with so much spontaneity, he has an extremely big heart, he is incapable of lying, he looks very authentic. And as a director, it allowed me to establish the story, but also in a way to guarantee the empathy of the audience for this person", he ended.
