Ashton Sanders surprises again in Captive State

The actor of Moonlight will fight face to face against aliens together with a great cast

There is a before and after in Ashton Sanders’ life: Moonlight. Winner of the Oscar for best picture in 2017, Sanders moved the audience with the adolescent version of the film’s protagonist, a homosexual boy that grows in the midst of the problems of a troubled suburb of Miami.

Sanders, who debuted in 2013 on The Retrieval, had the chance to carefully choose the future of his artistic career.

Hence, he now doubles the bet with a coming release that will surely give plenty to talk about: Captive State.

The new science fiction movie by Rupert Wyatt

In the film that marks the return of the director of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Sanders is surrounded by a cast of great figures such as Vera Farmiga, Madeline Brewer and John Goodman.

The film places us before the rebellion of a sector of society against an alien invasion that has managed to maintain peace on our planet for the last ten years.

The young African-American actor now returns to take another leap in quality in his career to show us a must see trial of an apparently utopian society, without hunger and crime, but that hides much more unclear realities as background.
