Jesse Peretz: a versatile in the industry

A review of the career of the director of Juliet, Naked

It is certain that when a person has artistic curiosity, it will come to the surface in any activity in which they are involved. This is the case of American director Jesse Peretz, who began his career as a bass guitarist for the band Lemonheads.

A youthful spirit that led him to leave the band after his first album to get behind the camera as a photographer and direct his videos, a task that began with the punk version of "Mrs. Robinson".

That was the kick off that made him grow as a director, first in short works as TV commercials and music videos, but later in feature films (The ex and Our idiot brother) and television series (Girls).

His link to music never ended, because he is responsible for the best known videos of the rock band Foo Fighters, songs like Big Me, Learn to Fly and Long Road to Ruin have his signature.

Juliet, Naked. Music and love in the air

Peretz continues to explore the musical theme and some of that will be seen in Juliet, naked, his next production, where an English girl (Rose Byrne) will see how her life changes when her boyfriend's favorite musician (Ethan Hawke) contacts her and begins a relationship that will change them both.
