New Release: Beau is Afraid

The new film by Ari Aster is coming to theaters!

The film starring Joaquin Phoenix (C'mon C'mon; Don't Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot) tells the story of a man named Beau, who must go on an adventure to visit his mother. Along the way, he will encounter various characters that will lead him to face the worst fears and traumas that have scarred him for life.

It is a comic nightmare that reveals the protagonist’s different traumas throughout the film. Director Ari Aster, who previously made Hereditary, confessed the film is a project he had wanted to shoot for a long time, with a short film and theatrical adaptation in between, but was only able to carry it out in recent years, once he had access to the right resources to tell this story.

Beau is Afraid features a talented cast, including Michael Gandolfini, Zoe Lister-Jones, Parker Posey, Amy Ryan (Beautiful Boy), and Nathan Lane. But that's not all! The main character is played by Joaquin Phoenix, who underwent a major physical change to tell this story.

Beau is Afraid is now available in theaters in Latin America.
