Taylor Jenkins Reid, the author of various bestselling novels such as Daisy Jones & The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, will finally have one of her bestsellers adapted to the big screen: One True Loves.
The film follows Emma, a young woman who is unexpectedly forced to choose between her husband and her fiancé. In her twenties, Emma Blair marries her high school sweetheart, Jesse. Together they build an incredible life: they travel the world, she works as a freelance writer and he is a documentary production assistant. During their first wedding anniversary, Jesse is asked to travel to the Aleutian Islands for work, but his helicopter disappears while flying over the Pacific. Emma is forced to move on with her life and so decides to quit her job and return home. Years later, she runs into Sam, an old friend, and falls in love again. However, after Emma and Sam's engagement, Jesse is found alive. Emma now has a husband and a fiancé, but… who is her true love?
