José Sacristán and his role in ‘13 Exorcismos’

The actor stars in this terrifying story

13 Exorcismos follows Laura Villegas, who begins to behave strangely after a séance. Worried by their daughter's sinister and questionable behavior, her parents seek help from Father Olmedo, an exorcist authorized by the Church.

The film stars José Sacristán, who says this role was a great challenge for him. To play his character, he faced it as if it were the first time he was acting. His co-stars, including Ruth Díaz, María Romanillos, and Urko Olazabal express their great admiration for the artist, describing him as a wise man, a great filmmaker, and a great opportunity to learn from him during filming. In the words of director Jacobo Martínez: "José Sacristán is a lesson in cinema."

The film is not only a terrifying story but also inspired by real events. 13 Exorcismos delves into the figure of Father Jesús Hernández Sahagún, who was involved in a controversial exorcism of a seventeen-year-old girl in 2014 in Burgos.

The film will be released on March 30 in theaters throughout Latin America.
