Academy Award-winning actor returns to the big screen to thrill us with Mike Mills' new film about a radio journalist who has to take care of his nephew, whose father is dealing with some mental health issues. Gaby Hoffman and Woody Norman are also part of this amazing project.

Here are some things you probably didn't know about Joaquin Phoenix:

- His real name is Joaquin Rafael Bottom, but the family decided to adopt the last name Phoenix when they moved to Los Angeles. 

- He was born on October 28, 1974 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

- At the age of four, he changed his name to Leaf because his siblings were River and Rain.

- His brother River Phoenix is his great inspiration in life and after his unfortunate death, Joaquin decided to resume his acting career. His son - fruit of his relationship with Rooney Mara - is named after his brother.

-  He said in an interview that he has watched Step Brothers more than any other film.

- His favorite actor is Robert de Niro (The War with Grandpa).
