This 2021 will be full of action and the upcoming film Gunpowder Milkshake is no exception.
What are we going to see? A twelve-year-old girl called Sam is abandoned by her mother Scarlet and ends up being raised by a criminal group her mother worked for. Fifteen years later, Sam is no longer a sweet little girl but a fierce criminal. However, when a job goes wrong, she must choose whether to stay allied to the criminal organization or protect Emily, an innocent eight-year-old girl. Threatened, she will only have one chance to survive: to reunite with her mother and her partners. These three generations of women will have to learn to trust each other to work as a team, to confront the criminal organization and to rebel against those who took everything from them.
The film is directed by Navot Papushado and features a great cast of brilliant actresses: Karen Gillan (Doctor Who, Jumanji) in the role of Sam, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Scarlet, Chloe Coleman (My Spy) as Emily; and the librarians, Scarlet’s partners, played by Angela Bassett (Black Panther), Michelle Yeoh (Crazy Rich Asians) and Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Bly Manor, San Andreas). This is certainly a strong cast of empowered women that will give a lot to talk about.
