Who directs UglyDolls?

Director Kelly Asbury at the helm of a great animated story

Since its creation in 2001, Ugly Dolls has become a line of dolls well received by children. Determined to go for more, the arrival on the big screen was seen as a natural step and director Kelly Asbury accepted the challenge without hesitation.

Because giving life, encouraging and creating a story that has protagonists characters as tender as the Ugly Dolls is a project that no filmmaker wants to miss.Asbury was positioned as the right person because of her undeniable experience within the genre with titles that include: Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) Shrek 2 (2004) and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002), as well as being part of the art department of Beauty and the Beast (1991).

Alongside her film productions, Kelly Asbury is also a leading author and illustrator of several children's books.

UglyDolls. The adventure begins!

Moxy is happy to live in Ugly Ville, but she knows that this is the place where all the defective dolls that are not selected to share their life with a child live. Determined to change that, she embarks with a group of friendly Ugly Dolls on the adventure to the "Institute of Perfection" where everything is different to what they are used to.

A not-to-be-missed film!
