Peppermint: justice bears her name

Jennifer Garner leaves it all on the field in her best action role

"I was very excited the first time I read Peppermint’s script because it's an original story, it's not based on anything and that does not happen anymore," says Jennifer Garner, protagonist of Peppermint.

It is true since the industry is going through a real boom of films based on real events. Something that does not mean the new film by Frenchman Pierre Morel drives away from reality. After all, as Garner says: "Who would not viscerally fight for one’s family?"

The story according to Garner

“My character, Riley, witnesses a group of criminals killing her family, and she loses her head." The problem is that Riley does not have justice served by the traditional mechanisms and so she decides to take her own path. "She hides, closes emotionally and spends 5 years becoming a killing machine with skills in martial arts, weapons and knives," and she adds: " she learns how to dislocate her own bones and not feel physical or emotional pain." With that physical and emotional arsenal, she goes out into the world to avenge her family on the fifth anniversary of the double murder. "She arrives in Los Angeles to do what she needs", Garner says on this must see film that has her once again in the genre that marked her beginnings as an actress.
