Simu Liu: Hollywood’s actor

A look back at his career

Simu Liu was born on April 19, 1989, in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, and immigrated to Canada at five years old, where he began his new life in Mississauga, Ontario. He studied finance and accounting and pursued that profession until he decided to explore other options, including acting.

His first appearances were in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, the Nikita series, and Beauty and the Beast. He also worked as a stuntman for series such as Heroes Reborn, before he received international recognition with the leading role in the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Later, he participated in different genres, such as the romantic drama One True Loves, which follows Emma, who is unexpectedly forced to choose between her husband, whom she had long considered dead, and her fiancé, who finally brought her back to life.

Another film that features Simu Liu’s great talent is Arthur the King, which tells the fascinating story of Mikael Lindnord, a Swedish endurance athlete who won the hearts of millions of people when he and his team adopted Arthur, a badly injured stray dog with a big heart who accompanied them during an epic endurance race in the Ecuadorian jungle.

You will soon be able to see this actor on the big screen because Arthur the King will hit theaters in Latin America in March.
