Something gloomy and definitely disturbing is the official trailer for Lizzie.
This is the film that takes up one of the most famous crimes in the history of the US, and whose alleged perpetrator, the angelic and sinister Lizzie, has deserved songs and horror stories around the world.
And, as if that were not enough, two of the favorite audience’s actresses, Chloë Sevigny, playing Lizzie, and Kristen Stewart, the maid of the Borden family, star in this feature film that will be the most disturbing of the big screen this year.
A case full of doubts
Lizzie Borden has gone down in history as "the ax killer," after allegedly murdering her father and stepmother in 1892 in Massachusetts.
However, the courts considered Lizzie innocent of that brutal crime, despite the doubts generated by the case.
The already praised Sundance film will focus on the love between Lizzie and her maid, and on the alleged sexual abuse committed by the head of the family, the authoritarian Andrew Borden.
And while we wait for the release, we have the trailer start feeling this psychological thriller with the exact dose of morbidity and passion.
