There are many reasons to watch Juliet, Naked and the success in choosing the cast is one of them. Under the lead of director Jesse Peretz, hyper-talented Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke and Chris O'Dowd bring to life the most memorable love triangle in theaters of recent times.
In this sense, in a recent interview, O'Dowd said: "I believed in the relationship of the three of us from the beginning. And there really was a lot of chemistry. We have fun with the same things. I was definitely attracted to working with Rose, we had done it briefly in Bridesmaids."
Second Chances
Peretz recalled the germ of the film based on Nick Horby's namesake novel: "When I read the draft the producers gave me, and then I immersed myself in the book, I felt that I had the real possibility of making a different film. And I got excited right away."
Rose Byrne confessed she had read the novel Juliet, Naked in 2009 and that since then it became her favorite. "When I knew they were going to make the movie I was amazed, I immediately met with Jesse," she revealed.
A touching adaptation full of music and the biting and subtle humor of a great love story and second chances.
