Caleb Landry Jones: Dogman

Let's get to know a little bit more about the actor

Caleb Landry Jones was born on 7 December 1989 in Texas, US. The son of Patrick and Cindy Jones, he was interested in music from an early age and formed an experimental folk rock band called Robert Jones. Later on, he decided he wanted to be a professional actor and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career.

Later, he played small roles in films such as No Country for Old Men and Supercool; and he also appeared in TV series, e.g. Friday Night Lights and Breaking Bad. He then received bigger roles in blockbusters such as The Last Exorcism and X-Men: First Class. One of his latest major films, which received several nominations during the awards season, was The Florida Project. The film follows the story of Moonee and her quirky group of friends who enjoy a summer holiday at a motel near the big amusement parks, while their young, irresponsible parents fall on hard times.

Now he is back with a new film, Dogman, which tells the story of a young man with a difficult life. Abused by his father and locked in a cage with dogs during his childhood, Douglas grows up in search of freedom and justice as a neighborhood watchman with an army of dogs at his command. For the filming of this movie, Caleb Landry Jones had to spend countless hours surrounded by dogs of all breeds and sizes. As a result, he ended up creating a very special relationship with them, just like his character Douglas.

At 34, he has already won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival, filmed with Jordan Peele and Brandon Cronenberg, and shared the screen with Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks (Larry Crowne). Caleb Landry Jones continues to grow in Hollywood, this time as the leading actor in Diamond's new film.

Dogman is in theaters in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil.
