New Release: Dogman

The film is coming to theatres in Latin America

Dogman tells the story of a young man with a difficult life. Abused by his father and locked in a cage with dogs during his childhood, Douglas grows up in search of freedom and justice as a neighborhood watchman with an army of dogs at his command.

Part of the inspiration for this film came from an article the director read about a French family who put their son in a cage when he was five years old. From that reading, Luc Besson thought about how such a thing affects a person mentally: how does one survive and what does one do with the suffering? The film Dogman is an exploration of this idea.

The film explores suffering, a feeling we all have in common, and the only antidote to it is love. In the case of the main character, it is the love of the dog community that will allow him to heal. The story aims to make people empathize with the main character and his actions.

Dogman received several nominations at the Venice Film Festival, including for its talented director, a filmmaker who has made several successful films, such as Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The film also features a superb cast, including Caleb Landry Jones, Jojo T. Gibbs, Christopher Denham, and Clemens Schick. On the other hand, the musical composition was done by Éric Serra, who expressed it is a very touching story.

Are you ready to enjoy it? Dogman is now available in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil.
