With the start of a new year, we not only say goodbye to the great films we had the chance to enjoy in the cinema, but we also celebrate the amazing stories that are about to hit the big screen.
Let's take a brief look at each of the films that will surprise us in 2024:
Ferrari: the film tells the story of Enzo Ferrari, the Italian founder of the car brand. The film delves into the founder's crisis as his company may go bankrupt and he has a troubled marriage while dealing with the death of their son. The film is directed by Michael Mann, who previously directed Collateral and The Last of the Mohicans, and features an outstanding cast, including Adam Driver (The Report; Logan Lucky), Shailene Woodley (Adrift; To Catch a Killer), Penelope Cruz (355), Jack O'Connell, and Patrick Dempsey. Ferrari will hit theatres in Latin America in the first half of next year.
The Beekeeper: the film opens with Dam Clay, a retired Beekeeper. He is working in a field tending bees when he learns that his co-worker was swindled and as a consequence, decides to end her life. From this traumatic event, Dam conducts an investigation, uncovers a conspiracy at the highest levels of government, and decides to take revenge. This story will be released in January 2024.
Dogman: Abused by his father and locked in a cage with dogs during his childhood, Douglas (Caleb Landry Jones) grows up in search of his freedom and justice as a neighborhood watchman with an army of dogs at his command. The film hits the big screen in early January.
May December: starring Natalie Portman (Jackie) and Julianne Moore (Still Alice; A Single Man), the film follows a young actress who decides to meet the woman she will play in a film that delves into a story that happened twenty years ago, in which a woman was sentenced to prison for having an affair with a thirteen-year-old boy, whom she later married and raised a family. May December will be released at the end of January.
