Find below the full list of nominees

The nominees for the 81st Golden Globes, a unique event that kicks off the awards season 2024, were announced on Monday.

Here are the highlights:

One of the big news of the ceremony is the four nominations that May December received. Natalie Portman (Jackie) stood out for Best Actress, Julianne Moore (Still Alice; A Single Man) for Supporting Actress, and Charles Melton for Best Supporting Actor. The film, which was also nominated for Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, is set twenty years after the scandalous affair between Gracie Atherton-Yoo and Joe. The emotional stability of the complex couple will come under pressure when famed actress Elizabeth Berry joins the family to study them as part of her preparation for her upcoming film inspired by the dark beginnings of the relationship.

Another big surprise was Anatomy of a Fall, which was nominated for Best Drama, Best Screenplay, and Best Foreign Language Film. It follows a woman, who is suspected of murdering her husband, and their blind son who must face a moral dilemma as he is the only witness. And that's not all! Sandra Hüller's performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Drama.

On the other hand, The Zone of Interest is increasingly resonating for the 2024 award season. The film tells the story of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss and his wife Hedwig, who strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden near the camp. The film received nominations in the following categories: Best Foreign Film, Best Drama Film, and Best Score.

The awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on 7 January at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Actors Chris Rock, Ali Wong, and Will Arnett are among the possible hosts for the night.
