Happy Birthday, Julianne Moore!

She turns 63 today

Julianne Moore was born on 3 December, 1960 in North Carolina. The daughter of a military judge and a psychologist and social worker, Julianne spent her childhood in different parts of the United States and attended more than nine different schools. She was alwaysinterested in the artistic world, so she graduated from Boston University with a degree in Fine Arts. She later moved to New York where she worked as a waitress until she got the opportunity to pursue acting. 

What were her beginnings like? She started in various projects such as The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Body of Evidence, and The Fugitive. However, she achieved success with the release of the romantic comedy Nine Months alongside Hugh Grant (The RewriteOperation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre). Since then, she has continued to excel in her profession, starring in several films and receiving nominations for various awards, including Best Supporting Actress for her role in Boogie Woogie.

Still Alice: Alice Howland, a happily married woman with three grown children, is a renowned linguistics professor who begins to forget words. A devastating diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's tests her relationship with her family. Her struggle to stay connected to the person she once was is heartbreaking andmoving.  

A Single Man: Set in Los Angeles in 1962, the film follows George Falconer, an English college professor struggling to make sense of his life after the sudden death of a dear friend. Gradually, he comes to know and appreciate the things that make life wonderful. 

If you would like to see Julianne Moore on the big screen again, you will soon get the chance to enjoy May December in theatres. The film is set twenty years after the scandalous and sensationalist romance between Gracie Atherton-Yoo and Joe. The emotional stability of the complex couple will come under pressure when famed actress Elizabeth Berry, played by Natalie Portman (Jackie), joins the family to study them as part of her upcoming film inspired by the dark beginnings of Gracie and Joe's relationship.
