Great reviews! Teen spirit

Expectation for the directorial debut of actor Max Minghella

Teen spirit, the film that makes reference to a classic song by the rock group Nirvana with its name, and that features Elle Fanning as the protagonist was presented at the Toronto Film Festival and the first reviews were very positive.

Kayleigh Donaldson from Pajiba says that "although you can predict almost all of Teen spirit's narrative rhythms before you watch it, that does not make it any less pleasant. In fact, there is immense warmth in the familiarity of this story and its willingness to be what it is," she said.

And she highlights, above all, the excellent soundtrack: "Pop music is carefully chosen, with songs like Robyn's dancing on my own and Lights by Ellie Goulding. They are all songs that 17-year-old girls would really listen to and the film has a genuine joy in framing them as tools of happiness."

For the Orca Sound website, "the film is fun and well made. The music is catchy. The most impressive thing is Elle Fanning. She made all her own voices. The audience listens to her voice intact," they said.

In addition, Rolling Stone magazine included it among the list of 30 films that had to be watched at the Toronto Film Festival! The curiosity, for the press, is how actor Max Minghella (known for his character Nick in The Handmaid's Tale) manages the story in his directorial debut.
