Brooklynn Prince was born on 4 May 2010 in the United States. Her parents always encouraged her to pursue a career in acting - her mother is an acting coach - and she started to participate in various films and series when she was two years old.
She achieved international recognition with her starring role in The Florida Project. The film follows Moonee and her quirky group of friends who enjoy their summer holiday at a motel near the big amusement parks, while their young, irresponsible parents have a hard time. This main character carries the story, with her sweetness and naivety, despite being surrounded by a world of troubled adults. She was critically acclaimed and received the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer.
Both Sean Baker and Chris Bergoch, director and producer of The Florida Project, emphasized her great talent, who "not only embodied Moonee but elevated the character from the pages by bringing her sparkle to her". Thus, thanks to the presence of Brooklynn Prince, the film became one of the best movies ever made about childhood.
