In the intrepid detective thriller Destroyer, Nicole Kidman embodies one of the most challenging roles of her career: a veteran detective from Los Angeles who carries the marks of the harshness of her work, like that old covert operation that went terribly wrong.
Erin Bell, the agent who wants to fix her destiny
When they were thinking about the film, director Karyn Kusama revealed that, together with the scriptwriters, they all realized that "this must be a story about a woman. That was the spark. That's how Erin Bell was born."
And while the story revolves around how the white-haired detective pursues her archenemy and tries to redeem her past, Kusama talks about the personal nuances of the agent, such as the difficult relationship she has with her daughter (starring Jade Pettyjohn).
"The personal elements of Bell's story go beyond the Hollywood fantasy of the figure of the marginalized police agent," she says and emphasizes: "for me, it was something very different, very fresh, a sort of adorable aesthetic point that expanded the genre in terms of emotion and character."
A unique opportunity to discover the new facet of a top-caliber actress that will amaze everyone.
