Anna Faris: the comedy actress

Let's take a look at her career

Anna Faris was born on 29 November 1976 in Baltimore, USA. Her parents, Jack and Karen, encouraged her to pursue acting from an early age and she made her first appearance at the Seattle Repertory Theater when she was only 9-years-old.

When did she make it in Hollywood? Anna Faris received international recognition for her roles in comedy, especially as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie franchise. In the 2000s, she also appeared in numerous films such as Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain, Just Friends, and many more.

Nowadays, she stands out in comedy and her latest film, The Estate, is proof of her great talent in this genre. The film tells the story of two sisters, Macey and Savanna, who have the perfect plan: to win the heart of their terminally ill and hard-to-please Aunt Hilda in the hope of becoming the beneficiaries of her vast estate. But they soon discover that other greedy family members have the same idea.

Anna Faris laughed out loud when she received the script and decided to play Savanna, Macey's explosive sister. She is also joined by a wonderful cast, including Toni Collette (Hereditary), David Duchovny, and Rosemarie DeWitt.
