Diamond Films stomps for the next annual Golden Globes gala.
In the list of nominees for the prize that awards best picture in theaters and television, two icons of the industry stand out: Nicole Kidman, who will compete as Best Actress in a Drama for Destroyer, and Charlize Theron, listed as one of the favorites to win the category Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for her work in Tully.
Masterful Willem Dafoe isn´t left behind; this year, he will compete in the category Best Actor in a Drama, after the nomination he received for his leading role in the film At Eternity's Gate.
Meanwhile, at the ceremony set for January 6 in Los Angeles Timothee Chalamet, the new Hollywood star boy who shines in Beautiful Boy will be there as a nominee for Best Supporting Actor.
A film that breaks records
Green Book is another chapter. Not only its creator, American Peter Farrelly, won a nomination for best director, but the main protagonists, Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali, will compete for best drama actor and best supporting actor respectively.
What is more, this story about an interracial friendship in the deep south of the US will also compete for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, as well as shaping up to win in the category best script, a text that was in charge of Farrelly, Nick Vallelonga and Brian Currie.
