Jennifer Garner returns to action movies as Riley North, a woman who loses her family and who moves away from everyone to find the justice the system does not give her. Peppermint will be the film that will return Garner to a genre she knows perfectly.
John Gallagher Jr. also participates in the film and in dialogue with the press, he gave his opinions on his character: "Detective Stan Carmichael is known at a hard time in his life. He became a cop with the best intentions, but maybe he was naive."
And that was not good, because: "after a few years as a gang homicide detective, he has seen very sensitive things and becomes self-medicated. When you meet him, he's drinking on the way to work, which is never a good sign," he said.

Gallagher Jr. was surprised by Garner’s versatility since she must handle very well the two emotions that go through her character: "Jen must alternate between very vulnerable and very emotional moments in the film. Seconds later she is destroying everything and doing amazing choreographic fights and things with a stunt person. Her ability to balance things is incredible”, he said.
