Another great role for a New Yorker from Rio de la Plata

Versatile Viggo Mortensen returns to theaters with Green Book

Spanish with a Buenos Aires accent of New Yorker Viggo Peter Mortensen wins everyone’s heart every time he travels to the southern areas of the planet.

It happens that this famous Hollywood actor lived in Argentina, and also in Venezuela, from age two to eleven, and hence his fondness for mate and the soccer team San Lorenzo de Almagro.

With an American mother and a Danish father, the Mortensens were an itinerant family that threw little Viggo to the most diverse interests.

For that reason, as well as starring the most famous literary characters in cinema, such as Diego Alatriste and Aragorn, Mortensen also works as an editor, painter and even a poet!

 Looking to the Oscar

All in all, Mortensen now adds a key piece to his extensive filmography. This is Green Book, which was recently awarded as the best film of the year by the prestigious The National Board of Review, which already positions it as a firm candidate for the 2019 Oscar.

In fact, Mortensen himself was also distinguished as "best leading performer" for this endearing story that he stars alongside Mahershala Ali on a friendship relationship in the midst of racism of the 60s.
