Michelle Williams: "I'm always willing to do something I haven't done before"

The actress faces a great challenge in After The Wedding

In a constant search for new acting challenges, Michelle Williams immediately agreed to be part of After The Wedding.

The actress was deeply attracted to the emotional ups and downs inherent to the story of director Bart Freundlich. “I am always willing to do something that I haven’t done before and that I do not know very well how to do it,” she says. "It was fascinating learning playing Isabel, and that this growth was a bit painful, since it always ended up in a new place."

Williams was also deeply moved by the immense loyalty of her character to the children of the orphanage she directs in the story. Therefore, she didn’t hesitate to make herself available to work in a similar environment before filming began.

After the wedding. A wedding, a donation and a secret.

What comes without waiting, may have a hidden side. This is what happens to Isabel (Williams) when a mysterious donation is made to the orphanage where she works in India. But to receive the money, she must travel to New York, where she will meet Theresa (Julianne Moore), who is married to Oscar (Billy Crudup), with whom Isabel shared a distant past.
