American director and scriptwriter Bart Freundlich is getting ready to surprise us once again. This time, he will do so with his favorite fellow of all times, actress Julianne Moore, his wife since 2003.
A love that is intertwined over time with their careers as, in fact, they fell in love during the shooting of Freundlich’s first movie, The Myth Of Fingerprints (1997), in which Moore was one of the main characters.
In this 22 years, they got married, had children, and worked together in the set of World Traveler (2001) and Trust The Man (2005).
But now, Freundlich doubles the bet and he called his wife to make a very special film: After The Wedding, the remake of Efter brylluppet (2006) by Susanne Bier, one of Freundlich’s favorite movies.
The plot of After The Wedding
Moore plays a successful, wealthy business woman that donates a large amount of money to an Indian orphanage on the eve of her daughter’s wedding. Michelle Williams embodies the woman who runs the orphanage, and when they meet, they realize they share a past with Oscar (Billy Crudup).
