The first trailer of After The Wedding was launched these past days. It is directed by Bart Freundlich and it stars Michelle Williams and Julianne Moore.
The story, originally Danish and named Efter brylluppet (2006), has one special feature: the main characters were men in the first version, but in this remake the film reflects the plot from a woman’s point of view.

The trailer introduces Isabel (Williams), a restless collaborator of an orphanage in India. Used to pain and lack of resources, luck knocks on her door with a millionaire gift.
But there is one condition to receive that sum of money: Isabel must travel to New York to meet the benefactor. Upon arriving in the United States, she meets Theresa (Moore), in charge of the funds of a media company and whose daughter is getting married that weekend. As Isabel is invited to the wedding, she will be shocked when meeting Theresa’s husband and finding they have a past in common.
