This 34-year-old filmmaker will debut with Brittany Runs a Marathon, whose screenings prior to the world release were applauded by the critics.
Starring Jillian Bell, this comedy focuses on a New Yorker who starts running to change a life of parties and excesses that, deep down, hides a deep dissatisfaction with herself.

“It is a somewhat provocative issue. In short, I am a man who writes a story about a woman who is changing her life, and that involves also body image problems,” Colaizzo told the press.
For this reason, he revealed that he wanted to direct the story he had written based on the experience of his best friend in order to ensure the “most empathetic, holistic and respectful approach to capture the character's experience”.
This filmmaker said that what he was most interested in highlighting in the film was "the nuances of human relationships, especially the relationship of this woman with herself."
